Jodat Law Group, P.A. is an established law firm serving Bradenton, Brandon, Ellenton, Englewood, North Port, Palmetto, Port Charlotte, Sarasota, Sun City, St. Petersburg, Tampa and Venice since 1994. We represent the rights of people with personal injuries caused in auto accidents and other negligence. We help and represent people who wish to file bankruptcy or are suffering from creditor harassment.

Our criminal law division diligently represents people accused of crimes and our family law division represents parties with divorce, child custody and alimony issues.

Gary R. Jodat

Gary R. Jodat is the founding and managing attorney of Jodat Law Group, P.A. He received his Juris Doctorate Degree from Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida. He received his undergraduate degree from Roger Williams University. He got his feet wet while fresh out of law school by taking a job with the Public Defender’s Office trying criminal, Juvenile and Dependency cases prior to transferring into civil litigation. He now handles primarily personal injury cases. He has been a member of The American Bar Association, The Manatee County Bar Association, The Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, The Longboat Key Chamber of Commerce, The Manatee County Chamber of Commerce, American Inns of Court and Association of Trial Lawyers of America.

Shannan C. Neri

Shannan C. Neri received her Juris Doctorate Degree from The Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio where she was president of the Delta Theta Phi law fraternity. At the Jodat Law Group, P.A., Ms. Neri is the senior bodily injury attorney, managing a diverse caseload, including premises liability, dog bite and automobile accident cases. Ms. Neri is a member of the American Bar Association, Tampa Bay Trial Lawyer’s Association, the Bar in Florida, the District of Columbia and New York State.

Melanie A. Newby

Melanie A. Newby received her Juris Doctorate Degree from the University Of North Carolina School Of Law at Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She received her undergraduate degree from New College in Sarasota, Florida. She is the Litigation Department Head litigating Bankruptcy, Creditor Harassment and Personal Injury cases at Jodat Law Group, P.A. In 2005, Ms. Newby represents Bankruptcy clients in the Middle District of Florida. She has practiced criminal law in both Florida and North Carolina and was chief of the Juvenile Division for the Public Defender’s Office in Sarasota, Florida and head of the Drug Court Division for the Public Defender’s Office in Charlotte, North Carolina. Ms. Newby is a member of The Florida Bar and the North Carolina State Bar. Ms. Newby has been a member of the Florida Bar and practicing law since 1990.

Jamie S. Rosenberg

Jamie Seth Rosenberg graduated with honors from Florida State University in 1996. In 2000, he received his Juris Doctorate, Cum Laude, from Stetson University College of Law, in St. Petersburg, FL.  Since that time, Mr. Rosenberg has worked as an Assistant Public Defender in Hillsborough County, Fl., and as an Assistant State Attorney in Manatee County, FL.

Mr. Rosenberg has gained a reputation as an aggressive litigator, having handled more than 100 felony jury trials over the last ten years. Mr. Rosenberg focuses his practice primarily on Criminal Defense and Personal Injury Litigation. Mr. Rosenberg is a member of the U.S. District Court of the Middle District of Florida, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the Manatee County Bar Association, and the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is also a member of the Florida Bar “Scope” Program, through which he provides training and continuing legal education to other Florida Bar members.

Jeana D. Vogel

Jeana D. Vogel received her Juris Doctorate Degree from Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida where she was the Ambassador for her school and President of the Women’s Law Student Association in 2008. She received her undergraduate Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of South Florida graduating “Cum Laude” where she majored in Political Science and minored in Sign Language. Ms. Vogel handles Family Law for the Jodat Law Group, P.A. primarily in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties. She has extensive experience in many facets of Family Law including: Divorce, Time Sharing, Child Support, Alimony, Discreet Divorce Planning, Marital Settlement Agreements, Collaborative Divorce, Step-Parent Adoptions, Paternity, Parental Alienation, Dependency, Post Judgment Modifications, Relocation, Nuptial Agreements, Domestic Violence, Family Law related Mediations and Trials. Ms. Vogel is a member of The Florida Bar, The Hillsborough County Bar Association, The National Forensic League since 2000, and Golden Key Member as of 2005- 2008.

Lee White

Lee W. White received his Bachelor Degree in Political Science from the University of Florida and his Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law. After graduating law school, Lee spent several years with the Office of the Attorney General, Child Support Enforcement Bureau where he took literally thousands of child support cases to trial. He is an experienced family law trial attorney who is well adept at handling divorce cases, child support issues, child custody and visitation matters, and post judgment modifications.
